
The Challenge:
To identify Celtic Healthcare as a company whose mission of caring for others is evident through its everyday actions and dedication to people. Simply, to associate Celtic Healthcare with smiling!
- Introduce a one-month initiative - Celtic's Miles of Smiles - which is designed to both encourage smiles and to reward smiling faces! Set a goal to reward 5,000 smiles in the month of January.
- Kicked-off the program internally, having every interested Celtic employee sign a large banner in Celtic Healthcare's Headquarters to proclaim their dedication to encouraging smiling faces everywhere - from their patients to their referral sources. Provided all Celtic New Business Developers with a customized "smiles" CD, Eat 'n Park Smiley cookies, stickers, museum tickets, and "why to smile" pocket cards to hand out to smiling faces.
- Included media partners and venues, including an easy listening radio station, local cable, and family entertainment venues for added exposure and "prizes" for the smilers. Created a separate web page for the media partners to link to.
- Incorporated public relations, social media, and editorial writing into the initiative and received press coverage in several local publications.
5,686 smiles! Celtic Healthcare recorded 5,686 smiling faces during the month of January - from Carlisle, PA all the way to Northeast Ohio. Through this initiative, we connected Celtic Healthcare to the communities that they serve by promoting health and wellness (the physical benefits of smiling) and by randomly handing out rewards to smiling faces. As a result, they received an increased amount of referrals.
