As Director of Contact Media, Upendo oversees all forms of media that initiate active involvement, social response, and engage participation and interaction with Savvy client brands. This includes, but is not limited to web, Flash, and social media design.

With one hand in design and the other in technology, Upendo keeps Savvy clients up-to-date with the constantly evolving interactive element, an increasingly essential part of integrated strategic marketing plans.

Upendo is no stranger to the visual aspect of sales and marketing. In 1996, he co-founded Jasiri Media Group in Seattle, Washington and played an instrumental role in the branding and design of their clients' work. For ten years, he was a sales and marketing representative with a leading national natural juice company, where he developed strategies to create brand excitement and implemented point-of-sale campaigns.

Upendo's graphic design abilities stem from his lifelong interest in the arts. As a talented mixed-media artist, Upendo has exhibited artwork in Atlanta, Seattle, and Pittsburgh. Upendo is a graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he studied liberal arts with a focus in multimedia art.
